Requirements
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
Responsibilities
- Assists in development and review of department policies, protocols, and competencies.
- Participates with Nurse Manager in development, planning, and monitoring of fiscal budget(s).
- Manages daily staffing needs and departmental activities, providing oversight to ensure high quality work with positive outcomes.
- Manages supplies, inventory and patient education materials in the department and ensures financial resources are used wisely.
- Evaluates, disciplines, coaches and mentors staff.
- Collaborates with physicians, Nurse Manager and staff to promote teamwork and efficiency within the department.
- Performs and is a resource for department testing and procedures.
