About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to provide nursing care to patients across all settings, collaborating with other interdisciplinary personnel. The RN acts as a patient advocate, ensuring safe care delivery, including delegation of care and active participation in performance and practice improvement initiatives. All actions and communications of the RN should align with Kettering Health Network's mission, vision, values, and policies when interacting with patients, families, and coworkers.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
At least 12 months of RN experience in an acute care or long term care setting
BLS certification
ACLS certification required within six months of hire
Must be scheduled a minimum of 480 hours per calendar year
Minimum of 5 shifts (60 hours) per a 6 week schedule
Weekend Shift Requirement
2 Holiday per year

Responsibilities

Utilizes the nursing process in providing nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other interdisciplinary personnel.
Acts as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement.
Ensures actions and communications reflect Kettering Health Networks mission, vision, values, and policies in interactions with patients, families, and coworker.
