About The Position

Our Nurse Residency is a 12-month transition to practice program utilizing an evidence-based curriculum to facilitate professional development and support for new graduate nurses through Education, Mentorship, Leadership, and Preceptor. The program combines didactic and simulation-based learning, with precepted clinical experiences and professional development opportunities. Our goal is to optimize the orientation experience while setting new nurses on the pathway to achieve their career goals. The novice nurse will participate in a Clinical Development Pathway which combines general and specialty specific learning and development and brings the new graduate from their first day to certification and beyond. Our Residency Program is designed to grow confident nurses who are engaged in their profession and deliver compassionate, quality care that achieves exceptional patient outcomes. Currently we offer medical surgical, critical care, emergency, perioperative, procedural, and maternal-child tracks. As a Magnet organization, our goal is to engage our nurses from day one and provide an environment for them to grow and achieve their professional goals.
