About The Position

Position Purpose: In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the SurgiNet Clinical Auditor is responsible for daily data validation, record reconciliation and charge validation by supporting correct record documentation within SurgiNet. This position demonstrates a high level of knowledge in charge capture process and revenue reconciliation processes, as well as an understanding of local Perioperative documentation policies and regulatory compliance standards. What You Will Do: To ensure accurate revenue capture auditing of all nursing documentation for surgery, endo and OB procedures, to include the Periop Doc (Preop Nursing Record, OR Nursing Record, PACU Nursing Record), pick list, implants, orders-meds, preprocedure verification/handoffs. (validate case levels, procedures, anesthesia, wound class data collection; validate implants, monitor free text, validate times for preop/OR/PACU). Runs various reports during auditing process. Ongoing and timely communication with staff and departmental leadership- changes, issues, education. Knowledge of AORN, JCAHO and other regulatory standards as they pertain to Surgical Service documentation and performance improvement required. Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate complex technical and application issues for a variety of audiences.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
  • Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as registered nurse in the State of Ohio.
