About The Position

Nelson 8 The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Nelson 8 is a 23-bed acute medical floor, with capacity for 10 patients requiring telemetry. Staff on the unit care for a mix of complex medical patients, including pulmonary, endocrine, GI, renal, cardiac, and neuro. On the unit, you will gain experience with continuous drips & IV titrations for antiarrhythmics, dopamine, nitroglycerin, heparin, and PCA pumps. The unit is very supportive of new staff. Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year recent acute care bedside RN experience - Med Tele preferred
• Baccalaureate degree, in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing, preferred. Applicants with an Associate Degree in nursing will be considered. per nursing guidelines, must matriculate to Bachelors of Nursing program.
• Active BLS via AHA, American Red Cross or Military Training Network at time of hire
• Active Maryland RN or Compact License at time of hire
• Applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this position.
