About The Position

Job Summary:#The Radiology Clinical Navigator serves as the primary care coordinator for pre- and post-procedural patients in our radiology department. This role supports both patients and providers by ensuring seamless communication, education, and logistical coordination throughout the continuum of care. The nurse will assist providers with administrative and direct patient care tasks. Key Responsibilities: Care Navigation # Coordination Serve as point of contact for patients with post-op questions and follow-up needs Coordinate complex case scheduling and ensure all pre-procedure requirements are met Clarify provider orders and liaise with referring offices for labs, documentation, or order reconciliation Assist with work excuse notes, FMLA paperwork, and home health referrals Pre- # Post-Procedure Outreach Conduct pre-procedure calls to confirm education completion, medication instructions, and arrival instructions Perform post-procedure check-ins to assess recovery, identify complications, and answer patient questions Patient Education # Support Provide education during office visits and via phone follow-up Answer questions related to medications, recovery expectations, and procedural logistics Clinical Collaboration Support APPs and physicians by managing patient flow and coordinating care tasks Ensure timely communication between departments and external providers Qualifications:#Current RN license to practice in NC (NC license or multi-state (compact) license). BSN preferred. Knowledge of specialty specific procedures preferred. One year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital is required. Experience in an ambulatory office setting is preferred. Meets general hospital and departmental orientation and competency requirements. BLS is required. Must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Requirements
