Job Summary and Qualifications The Radiology Nurse Navigator is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, and volunteers. The Radiology Nurse Navigator will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the patient receiving invasive, diagnostic and interventional procedures. The duties include coordinating the activities of the Cardiac CT Program in collaboration with the Radiology, Cath Lab, and Cardiology departments. The Radiology Nurse Navigator assists the department Director in recommending and evaluation of operational efficiencies and process modifications in meeting facility goals. The Radiology Nurse Navigator identifies and remedies through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. This role will start with the time of the patients diagnosis and will continue through the patients journey throughout their care, will be the patient advocate and care for them in a highly supportive and personal manner and also will serve as a liaison to ensure that patients and families receive resources and services as needed.
