About The Position

This role provides coordination of the activities and flow of work for the assigned clinical program, specifically within the Trauma Department at St. Mary's Hospital - Madison. Primary duties include reviewing patient care during admission and collaborating with staff and providers to ensure quality of care. The position involves an interest in quality improvement and performance improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years' registered nurse experience
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment.
  • Other resuscitation certifications may be required dependent on department.
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license in the state of work location (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin) or a compact state license.

Nice To Haves

  • A mix of previous ICU and ED experience is highly preferred.
  • An interest in quality improvement and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of program services and initiatives.
  • Plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates appropriate patient care.
  • Maintains program documentation and review to support regulatory and compliance regulations.
  • Assists with determining appropriate training for the staff and developing the learning program.
  • Collaborates with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Collaborates with others to assist with problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services, and systems/performance measures.
  • May participate in injury prevention initiatives and/or activities.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
