Job Summary: Provides leadership and management for the trauma service at the facility to assure optimal care for injured patients while meeting regulatory requirements from the applicable Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Kansas Department of Health and Environment or Utah Department of Health and Human Services, and the American College of Surgeons. Responsible for daily operations of the trauma program and the achievement of standards related to quality care, patient satisfaction and fiscally responsible care delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum Experience Requirements:Five years of trauma program experienceTwo years of previous leadership experience, preferredExperience with trauma registry and coding, preferred
  • Education required: BSN required
  • License/Certifications requirement: Active and unencumbered KS RN license or Compact RN license
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • TNCC required upon hire or within 24 months of hire/transfer
  • Physical Requirement: Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to10lbs force occasionally)

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Member to a related professional organization preferred (society of trauma nurses, emergency nurses association, American association of critical care nurses, trauma center association of America, air and surface transport nurses association).
