The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, implements, and evaluates care for assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician. The RN is expected to be knowledgeable about nursing practice principles, theories, current methods, and techniques. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN collaborates with patients, their families/significant others, professional peers, and other healthcare team members to individualize patient care. The RN also directs nursing support staff in patient care provision, adhering to nursing practice standards and administrative/departmental policies. Professional education, training, or additional certifications may be required by specialty area. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • PA Registered Nurse License
  • Basic Life Support
  • Multi State Compact RN License

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1 year experience in area of clinical specialty

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, implements, and evaluates care needed by assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician
  • Using the nursing process, collaborates with the patient, patient's family member(s)/significant others, professional peers and other members of the health care team to individualize patient care
  • Directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, administrative and departmental policies and procedures
