About The Position

The physician extender acts as a liaison between physicians, patients, hospital, and office. Performs assessments of patients and documents according to protocol. Accountable for assuring delivery of quality nursing care for the designated patients in accordance with the individual patient's needs, physicians' orders, and PH policies, and standards of practice. Responsible for working collaboratively with management, physician, and coworkers to provide excellent service to our patients. Why Parkview? Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold a current Indiana Registered Nurse license.
• CPR certification required.
• 2 years' experience in a medical setting required-cardiology recommended.
• Medical terminology and pharmacology background needed.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms in preferred.
• Essential computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records recommended.
