We perform a wide variety of outpatient surgical procedures, at a lower cost than the same procedures done at area hospitals. We offer: A medical staff of more than 150 surgeons who are board certified or eligible for certification Anesthesiologists who specialize in pediatric care Registered nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support; many of the registered nurses are certified in their areas of specialty, such as operating room and recovery room nursing Surgical technologists and assistants who are specially trained to assist the physicians. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an ADN or a BSN in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse (or equivalent academic and/or professional experience).
  • A current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Three years of current post-anesthesia or critical care experience is required.
  • Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
  • PALS certifications required within 1 year of employment.
  • Must possess good eyesight, hearing, emotional stability, physical endurance and dexterity in order to draw meds, use phone, and write messages.
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift and move large pieces of equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and remain mentally alert for accurate judgment.

Nice To Haves

  • A BSN is preferred.
  • Experience in an ambulatory surgery setting is desirable.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering professional nursing care throughout the perianesthesia (pre and post op care) continuum.
