What you will be doing: Prepare medical exhibits for trial as needed. Obtain and review medical records. Review medical and legal materials for information pertinent to the matter at hand, using Westlaw, Lexis system, and Medline systems. Speak with physicians, hospital personnel, expert witnesses, clients, attorneys, etc., obtaining and giving information as required. Interview witnesses in preparation for depositions, attend depositions as required, and write deposition summaries. Write reports as required. Coordinate document production for major files, including document organization and preparation of computerized document indices. Draft interrogatories, answers to interrogatories, subpoenas, and other pleadings under the direction of an attorney. Prepare materials for Medical Review Panels, physicians' position papers, and legal memoranda. Perform related duties as assigned. Research medical issues as needed.
