About The Position

It's more than a career, it's a calling MO-SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital 1201 Grand Worker Type: Regular Job Highlights: Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30pm This role provides nursing support for outpatient Radiology services, primarily supporting CT and MRI exams requiring RN involvement. Assists with Cardiac CT procedures involving medication administration (including beta blockers) and MRI exams for patients with pacemakers. Collaborates with Radiology Technologists to establish IV access, including ultrasound-guided IVs, and accesses implanted ports as needed. Responds to emergency situations within the Radiology department. Periodically supports inpatient Radiology procedures and pediatric patients undergoing outpatient PET imaging. Job Summary: The Registered Nurse is a professional practitioner who assesses, manages, directs, and provides nursing care care activities during the patient's hospital stay and coordinates planning with other disciplines utilizing a patient/customer driven approach.

Requirements

  • Licensed to work as an RN in the state of Missouri
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services

Responsibilities

  • Performs comprehensive nursing assessment/reassessment.
  • Establishes, coordinates and evaluates a plan of care based on analysis of assessment data, patient diagnosis, lab data, tests, procedures, physician orders, protocols and standards of care and other information as relevant.
  • Provides and documents nursing interventions based on assessed patient needs, plan of care, and changes in patient status.
  • Documents and or communicates nursing care and or changes in patient condition.
  • Specialized Care: Provides specialized care to patients at high risk for injury.
  • Demonstrates accountability for own professional practice.
  • Ability to relate to coworkers in a professional and appropriate manner.
  • Safety/Infection Control: Performs job in accordance with safety and infection control policies.
  • Service: Provides service excellence to the customers of Saint Louis University Hospital by delivering timely, high quality care in a courteous and respectful manner.
