About The Position

The Oncology Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in providing care to patients diagnosed with hematologic or oncologic malignancies. The Oncology RN acts the primary point of contact and advocate for cancer patients throughout the care continuum. The Bozeman Health Cancer Center serves patients throughout the greater southwest Montana area. We see patients at various stages of their cancer journey, including new diagnosis, complications or symptom management due to therapy, curative and palliative therapy, and facilitating end of life care. Our department is fast-paced and provides ample opportunity for learning and growth, and requires our team members to be equipped with critical thinking and a problem-solving mindset. Our patients are often seen very frequently throughout their care with us, which allows our team to have the unique opportunity to build connections with our patients and their support systems. Many of our nurses and team members find this the most rewarding part of their job. As a team, we work closely with providers across a variety of specialties, both locally and at outside institutions to provide access to quality healthcare. This is a clinical based position where you will provide support and education for patients, and care coordination with multidisciplinary teams. No prior Oncology experience is required.
