About The Position

Wage Range: $48.21 - $87.11 per hour plus additional per diem rate Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity. Job Summary: Responsible for the total direct nursing care of all patients within established standards of care, hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines. WSNA Per Diem Tier EvergreenHealth is pleased to offer our PER DIEM RN’s option and choice when it comes to their work assignment. We believe that creating a tiered system for our per diem RNs allows for flexibility and balance, honoring the employee’s desire to work while balancing given business needs. See below for details. Further information will be provided at time of interview. Tier 1 Per Diem RN Available to work at least 24 hours per month 17% hourly premium Tier 2 Per Diem RN Available to work 60 hours per month, including: 1 weekend shift per month 1 Holiday in Summer 1 Holiday in Winter 20% hourly premium

Requirements

  • Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required)
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN)
  • Master’s in Nursing (MSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
  • Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
  • Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.
  • Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
  • Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
  • Communicates effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way.
  • Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
