About The Position

The RN Office Manager (Non-Medical) serves as the on-site operational and clinical-oversight leader for About You In Home Care's contracted campus program supporting MDCPS youth. Working Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and some weekends and nights on campus, this role ensures safe, consistent, and compliant delivery of caregiver support services to children and adolescents living on the MDCPS campus. The RN Office Manager supervises and coordinates a multidisciplinary direct-care team that includes Caregivers and RN/LPN Supervisors. The position focuses on staffing, scheduling, quality assurance, policy adherence, documentation integrity, and communication with campus and MDCPS stakeholders. Although the program is designated "non-medical," the RN Office Manager applies nursing leadership and clinical judgment to maintain youth safety, monitor health-related concerns, and ensure appropriate escalation and coordination of care.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mississippi (or compact license recognized in MS).
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience , preferably including leadership, pediatrics, behavioral health, or community/campus-based care.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising staff and managing schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of safety practices, mandated reporting, and professional boundaries.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a structured campus setting with vulnerable youth.
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems for scheduling and documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with: child welfare systems / foster care settings residential or campus youth programs trauma-informed environments multi-level staff supervision
  • Leadership or management certification/training.
  • Comfort working closely with state agencies and contract standards.

Responsibilities

  • Campus Program Leadership Serve as the primary on-site leader for About You In Home Care on the MDCPS campus. Maintain a consistent, professional presence to promote stability and accountability. Coordinate daily operations to ensure campus units are adequately staffed and supported. Assist in strategic planning and implementation of campus program goals.
  • Staff Management & Supervision Supervise Caregivers and RN/LPN Supervisors, ensuring performance aligns with agency standards and campus rules. Provide orientation, training, coaching, and corrective action when needed. Conduct routine check-ins and performance evaluations. Promote teamwork, professionalism, trauma-informed care, and youth-centered practices.
  • Scheduling & Staffing Coverage Build and maintain weekly/monthly schedules for RN/LPN Supervisors. Manage call-outs, shift swaps, and urgent coverage needs. Ensure staffing ratios meet contract requirements and campus safety needs. Track attendance, overtime, and staffing trends to prevent gaps.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure staff follow About You In Home Care policies, MDCPS contract standards, and campus policies/procedures and rules. Conduct audits of documentation, shift logs, and incident reports. Identify risks, implement corrective plans, and follow through to resolution. Participate in site inspections, internal reviews, and external compliance checks.
  • Youth Safety & Clinical Oversight Apply nursing judgment to identify health or safety concerns affecting campus youth. Ensure appropriate monitoring of youth with known conditions, behavioral risks, or special needs. Support RN/LPN Supervisors in maintaining basic health-support protocols. Escalate urgent concerns to appropriate medical providers, About You In Home Care leadership, or MDCPS contacts following protocol. Maintain boundaries while protecting youth welfare.
  • Communication & Collaboration Act as liaison between About You In Home Care, MDCPS, campus leadership, and interdisciplinary partners. Attend campus meetings as assigned and provide updates on staffing, safety issues, and care trends. Communicate clearly with families/guardians or MDCPS caseworkers when appropriate and within policy. Ensure staff receive timely updates on policy changes or campus directives.
  • Documentation & Reporting Maintain organized program files including schedules, training records, incident documentation, and staff credentials. Ensure incident reports are completed accurately and submitted within required timeframes. Track and report program metrics (staffing, incidents, training completion, etc.) to leadership. Use consistent, professional written and verbal documentation.
  • Training & Development Coordinate required onboarding and annual competencies for Caregivers and RN/LPN Supervisors. Provide or arrange training in: trauma-informed care de-escalation and safety mandated reporting campus-specific policies youth behavior support Identify skill gaps and create improvement plans.
  • Other Duties Perform additional duties as assigned to support campus operations and contractual success. Participate in after-action reviews following incidents to strengthen procedures.
