As an RN Nursing Supervisor, and a Forest Team Member, you’ll help support this mission by delivering exceptional, quality care to our residents. The RN Nursing Supervisor provides direct nursing care to the residents in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards governing the facility, under the direction of the Director of Nursing and the Director of Health Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care. Requirements

  • Registered Nurse, in good standing, 3-5 yrs. experience, licensed by the State of NC.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Previous experience as a Charge Nurse or Nurse Supervisor.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical assessment practices and procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.
  • Adept at planning, supervising, coordinating, and evaluating the activities of nursing team members.
  • Strong time management skills; able to understand, organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Able to recognize and assess signs and symptoms of residents’ conditions and to provide intervention or referral as appropriate; able to assist the physician in diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
  • Strong communication skills; able to maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
  • The ability to react and perform appropriately during emergency situations.
  • The ability have a positive attitude toward the elderly and be able to maintain positive relationships and interactions with residents and team member.
  • The ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • The ability to solve problems according to facility and departmental practices.
  • The ability to react and perform appropriately during emergency situations.
  • The ability to assist the physician in diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
  • Participation in our Influenza Vaccination program is required for all employees. Religious and medical exemptions are accepted.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in long-term care (skilled/assisted) or CCRC is highly preferred.
