Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Professional Nurse program.
  • Current NYS License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • 2 years of nursing or long-term care experience.
  • 2 years of management/supervisory experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with staff, residents, families, and physicians.
  • Knowledge of management systems, departmental planning, and evaluation.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and model teamwork.
  • Skilled in project management, time management, and balancing multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Familiarity with DOH requirements.
  • Computer literacy required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • The Nurse Manager must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care—assessing resident needs, supporting growth and development across the lifespan, and tailoring care to each resident’s unique requirements.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Master’s in Nursing, or related field.
  • Meditech experience
