Directs and supervises functions and activities in assigned unit; implements and interprets policies, procedures, standards, and regulations for personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public. Performs duties in nursing capacity as needed. Assesses and maintains adequate staffing needs. Maintains effective communication. Provides a safe environment for patients and staff. Manages departmental budget in a manner reflective of sound fiscal planning.
