About The Position

As a Clinical Nurse with Corewell Health, the role involves providing top-notch patient care using the nursing process framework and incorporating patient-family-centered care principles to ensure the highest quality of care. The nurse will be a vital member of the team, working under the direction of the Nurse Leader to make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited school of nursing or an ACEN accredited Diploma program.
• If not BSN prepared, new graduates/nurses with less than one (1) year experience are required to sign an educational contract upon hire to complete BSN within a specified timeframe and adhere to contract stipulations.
• RN must enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within the next five (5) years (effective April 18, 2023).
• 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
• External candidates are required to have a minimum of 2 years related acute care experience.
• External candidates must successfully complete a competency assessment provided by nursing education.
• Internal candidates with less than 2 years of clinical experience must be approved by their current nurse leader and the site Chief Nursing Officer and remain a unit-based PRN (casual) employee until they reach 2 years of nursing experience.
• LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan Upon Hire.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association, ARC American Red Cross, or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation Upon Hire.
• CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire (for Endoscopy, Critical Care, Emergency Care, Radiology, Pre-Op, PACU within 180 days of hire/transfer).

Responsibilities

• Provide top-notch patient care using the nursing process framework and incorporating patient-family-centered care principles.
• Supervise cardiovascular stress tests for individuals with and without chronic disease to obtain reliable and valid data.
• Perform various types of testing including GXTs, Stress Echocardiograms, and Nuclear MPIs (both exercise and pharmacological).
• Provide the placement and service of Holter Monitors, Event Monitors, and 12 lead EKGs for outpatients.
