The Nurse Residency Program offers a structured and supportive environment for new nurses to develop their skills and transition smoothly into their professional careers. The program coincides with the unit you are hired into. Overview: Target audience: Newly licensed nurses or soon to be RNs with less than 1 year of experience. Goal: To support new graduate nurses in their transition from novice nurse to competent nurse through professional development. Length: 1 year program Shifts: 0.7-0.8 FTE working Day/Night (some 12-hour shifts or D/E availability) Eligibility: Current nursing student OR Recent graduate of an accredited nursing program OR Starting first RN position with Essentia Health within one year of graduation. Highlights: RN Hiring Incentive Eligible Position: Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $7,500 for ADNs and up to $10,000 for BSNs NCLEX Prep Course available upon hire 1:1 Coaching Guidance through first year starting at time of hire Monthly Nurse Residency Class Brand new hospital overlooking Lake Superior Be part of an organization that is on the pathway to the Magnet Recognition Program Level 1 Adult and Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center Tuition Reimbursement for advancing education Shift Differential for Evenings and Overnights Starting wage: $43.30 for ADN/$44.30 for BSN Program Outcomes: Transition from novice to competent nurse.
