About The Position

The Nurse Residency Program offers a structured and supportive environment for new nurses to develop their skills and transition smoothly into their professional careers. The program coincides with the unit you are hired into. Education Qualifications: Overview: Target audience: Newly licensed nurses or soon to be RNs with less than 1 year of experience. Goal: To support new graduate nurses in their transition from novice nurse to competent nurse through professional development Length: 1 year program Shifts: 0.7-0.8 FTE working Day/Night (some 12-hour shifts or D/E availability) Eligibility: Current nursing student OR Recent graduate of an accredited nursing program OR Starting first RN position with Essentia Health within one year of graduation. Required Qualifications: Nursing license in state of employment. Requirements

Nursing license in state of employment.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month
Current nursing student OR Recent graduate of an accredited nursing program OR Starting first RN position with Essentia Health within one year of graduation.
