About The Position

Position Overview: The Registered Nurse provides and supervises nursing care as established by CMH standards of care. The Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients within a patient care unit. The Nurse utilizes the nursing process in assuring comprehensive nursing care to a wide variety of patients and families. They are responsible for the day-to-day management of the related clinical activities. They supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel, utilizing professional discretion and independent judgment. This is a full-time benefited position; the program is a 12-month commitment. The 12-week preceptorship portion of the program is divided into the four areas listed below and facilitated by content experts. Nurse Residents will have team training opportunities with Graduate Medical Education (GME), and work with ancillary departments to reinforce collaborative practice. The program continues with monthly seminars (Nursing Seminars/Grand Rounds) ending at graduation! This comprehensive program is designed for the New Graduate RN starting a career in the adult acute care environment. The program begins on February 9, 2026. Requirements

  • Graduate from an ADN or BSN program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) OR Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) by January 1, 2026.
  • Must have no paid RN work experience prior to start of program
  • Must have American Heart Association BLS by start of program
  • Willingness to commit to the Nurse Residency Program and one year afterward
  • Current California RN license by January 9, 2026 (candidates may apply before licensure)

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
