The Mother Baby Care Unit at Troy Hospital is a 28-bed unit dedicated to caring for postpartum patients and newborns, with rotations within the maternal child health units including training. This state-of-the-art center focuses on advanced specialty and routine care, emphasizing patient satisfaction and medical advancement. The Registered Nurse (RN) operates under the ANA scope of practice, applying the nursing process to provide professional, patient-family centered care, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge. The RN delivers quality patient care as directed by the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and procedures, and acknowledges the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes. The RN collaborates with patients and families, incorporating their input and goals into the care plan, and develops and documents appropriate teaching strategies in the health record.
