About The Position

This Registered Nurse (RN) position is for a 30-bed medical-surgical Pulmonary unit with an 8-bed progressive care unit. Nurses on this unit care for patients with complex diagnoses such as pneumonia, COPD, congestive heart failure, and pulmonary embolism, managing advanced therapies including oxygen support, mechanical ventilation, and cardiac monitoring. The role involves providing both acute and progressive level care, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care and support recovery through education, clinical expertise, and collaboration. The position offers an opportunity to work independently and with a team, providing ongoing collaboration and learning, suitable for both newly graduated RNs and experienced professionals. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients
  • Care for patient with a range of complex diagnoses including pneumonia, COPD, congestive heart failure, and pulmonary embolism
  • Manage advanced therapies such as oxygen support, mechanical ventilation, and cardiac monitoring
  • Provide both acute and progressive level care
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient centered care and support recovery through education, clinical expertise, and collaboration
  • Provide high-quality care to patients and families
