About The Position

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center providing a full range of medical specialties and health care services, including being the home base for Flight For Life® Colorado. It features four trauma rooms, including a dedicated field-to-surgery suite. In 2023, the hospital received Magnet designation and numerous other awards and accreditations. The 5th Floor Medical Surgical department is a 36-bed unit specializing in neuro, trauma, and ortho, serving patients typically 16 years and above, with occasional general med/surg overflow. The unit emphasizes teamwork, high-quality, safe patient care, and a committed, caring group of colleagues passionate about positive patient interactions. It is described as a great starting point for those interested in Critical Care.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing
  • Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates
  • Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred for experienced RNs
  • One year experience preferred
  • at least six months of direct RN experience (for sign-on bonus eligibility)
  • someone who prides themselves in being a team player, has a positive attitude, open communication skills, hard-working, dedicated, and accountable

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the health care team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
  • Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

  • $5.75/hr differential from 11pm to 7am for Night Shift RN positions
