About The Position

Monroe Hospital, a 32-bed community hospital and part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for its award-winning team. The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). This role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice, guiding patient/family teaching, and directing other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for assigned patients' care, communicating with physicians about changes in clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology, and must be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients.
• Communicates with physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
