Responsible and accountable for planning, organizing and directing essential patient care functions for assigned unit. Assists in development, implementation and integration of performance improvement plans into unit practice. Assures implementation and maintenance of departmental/hospital Policies, Procedures and Standards of Care. Assures all State and Federal laws and TJC standards are in compliance in areas of responsibility. Assists with on-unit and department-specific education for clinical staff. Assists in ensuring staff competency, ongoing skills assessment and opportunities for growth. Utilizes nursing research and evidence-based practice in nursing as a model for quality initiatives and nursing excellence. Eisenhower has been a leader in health care for the Coachella Valley since we opened our medical center in 1971. Since then, we’ve been growing steadily, adding services, capabilities and facilities to anticipate and meet the needs of our expanding area. Today, the Eisenhower name extends far beyond the state-of-the-art care we deliver at the hospital.
