About The Position

Manage activities, workflow and nursing resources for one or more assigned specialty nursing areas: Cardiovascular/Cath Lab, Surgical Services, Emergency/Triage, Endoscopy, Adult or Pediatric/NeoNatal Critical Care, Labor & Delivery/Women & Family. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit(s). Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s). Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit(s). Develop and maintain quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s). Monitor and adheres to budget. Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines. Ensure a high level of associate, patient and physician satisfaction. Conduct hiring, training, directing, counseling, development and evaluating of staff. Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.
