About The Position

Ascension St Vincent is seeking an experienced OB Hospitalist - High Risk to serve our St. Vincent Womens (Indianapolis) location. An exciting opportunity to provide full spectrum obstetrical coverage in a level IV Perinatal Care Center with level I trauma verification and Level IV NICU. Our high risk OB Hospitalist team functions as MFM extenders for our well established and growing MFM department. Duties include daily rounds with the MFM team, deliveries of the patients admitted to the high risk team, assessment and evaluation of triage patients and incoming maternal transports on arrival. This is an exciting time to join our team as we continue to focus on reducing maternal morbidity and mortality in the state of Indiana. A nine story Womens and Childrens tower is currently under construction at Ascension St. Vincent, which will house the states largest NICU, with 109 private NICU rooms, where our team will be able to provide the highest level of maternal and neonatal care under one roof. Teaching experience is desirable, as Ascension St. Vincent Womens is home to an OB/GYN residency, and also hosts learners from various medical schools and health programs. Minimum experience, 4-5 years OB/GYN preferred. Requirements

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Nice To Haves

  • Teaching experience is desirable
  • Minimum experience, 4-5 years OB/GYN preferred.
