RN Lung Nodule Coordinator

About The Position

The RN Lung Nodule Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, tracking, and facilitation of care for patients identified with lung nodules through Low-Dose CT (LDCT) lung cancer screening, incidental findings, and diagnostic imaging. Travel to multiple Ascension Saint Thomas sites in the Middle Tennessee area is required.

Requirements

Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree or equivalent healthcare experience strongly preferred
EON Software (not required, training available)
Cerner (not required, training is available)
EMR experience (not required, training is available)
Knowledge and experience in lung cancer diagnosis, lung cancer screening guidelines, Lung-RADS for low-dose CT scans and Fleischner Society Guidelines for incidental lung nodules
Strong oncology knowledge

Responsibilities

Serve as a patient navigator throughout the continuum of care.
Function as a liaison for management staff, administration, physicians, managed care companies, community organizations, and other customers.
Coordinate efforts for treatment and promote quality improvement and educational efforts.
Compile data, track outcomes, and make recommendations for process improvement.
Provide referrals/support for follow-up care for patients who are uninsured or underinsured.
