About The Position
A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality maternal and neonatal care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in maternal-child nursing, IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation, with the ability to manage high-acuity patients while ensuring safe and compassionate care.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN / ASN) required
- Minimum 2 years of maternal and child health experience
- Minimum 2 years of IV insertion experience
- Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience
- Experience with conscious sedation required
- Active New York State RN License (required)
- AHA BLS Certification (required)
- AHA ACLS Certification (required)
- NRP Certification (required)
- Maternal and child nursing care

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to labor and delivery patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions during labor and postpartum
- Perform IV insertion and assist with phlebotomy procedures
- Support and manage conscious sedation cases
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and high-risk situations
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams
- Promote safe delivery practices and patient-centered care
