SCHEDULE: PRNs are required to work a minimum of 5 shifts per 6 week period. Flexible to work Days and Nights, 7 -7:30 and to fill in for sick days, vacation time, etc. We offer a 15% differential on top of your base rate of pay for PRN associates! OB Post-Partum: The OB Post-Partum department at Longmont United Hospital has 19 LDRP beds, six Level II Special Care Nursery beds, two ORs and a three-bed triage. Our scope is Labor and Delivery, postpartum couplet care (mom & well baby), antepartum care, C-sections, tubal ligations, Level II nursery and care for babies 34 weeks and up. Our department gets occasional overflow with gynecological surgery patients. The right candidate must have a positive attitude and want to work in a strongly supportive team environment. They need to be able to learn quickly and be someone who can multitask and handle ongoing change without getting flustered. This person will need to be flexible and able to work at a fast pace. As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for: Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs
• One year experience preferred
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
• RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
• Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
• 2 years of L&D experience preferred.
• Experience in L&D, Postpartum, and well baby care, circulating for c-sections, triage, and as charge nurse preferred
• Charge Nurse experience is a plus
