On our Kidney Medicine Unit, you will be caring for our renal failure patients that are visiting for additional care or who are inpatients. You will use our state-of-the-art dialysis technology and follow our ‘patient-first’ methodology to deliver exceptional care. Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. A caregiver in this position works days, 6:00AM – 6:30PM or 8:30AM – 9:00PM. With on-call coverage for evenings, weekends, and holiday as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• One-year of current acute care RN experience.
• Will consider military RN experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Open to new graduates, dialysis experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
