The 5SE unit is a 47-bed Medical/Surgical unit serving Nephrology, Urology, Oral-Maxillary/Facial, surgical oncology and general surgery patients, including kidney transplants, gynecologic, colorectal, urologic, breast and plastics, laparoscopic procedures, maxillofacial, and general surgical procedures. The role is for candidates who have a passion for meeting the needs of complex medical/surgical patients and can be a place to hone care skills or a steppingstone for future interest in ICU, OR, Oncology or ER. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
