New Grad and Experienced RNs welcome to apply! Come join our team at the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Clinic within the Roger Maris Cancer Center. In this role you will do telephone triage, manage central lines, provide patient education, and coordinate care for our oncology and hematology patients. All RNs are expected to cross train to pediatric infusion clinic, allowing you to maintain high tech skills. We care for children, adolescents and young adults with oncology and non-oncology diagnosis. Schedule would consist of 8 hour day shifts. Shifts are 7:45AM- 5:00PM with no evening shifts, weekends, on call or holiday commitment. Required Education: ADN or BSN Required Licenses: ND, SD and MN (SD and MN can be obtained after start) Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to infusion patients. Job Description Requires excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize the needs of the patients and the practice. (Occasionally works in emergent patient care situations requiring critical thinking and prompt assessment skills). Will perform age related patient assessment and intervention as well as scheduling tests and interventions pr provider order. Responsible for utilizing the professional nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to patients across age continuum in the infusion care setting. Functions within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure.
