About The Position

Valley View is opening an Infusion Clinic within our Day Surgery/Procedural Department and seeking an RN to enhance their IV skills while delivering excellent care to our infusion patients. The Registered Nurse for the Infusion Clinic delivers thorough nursing care to infusion patients and works closely with a multidisciplinary team to support patient needs. This role involves providing direct care in an outpatient infusion setting, following the nursing process in line with established standards, scope of practice, and the organization’s policies, values, and mission.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred
Minimum 1 year of nursing (RN) experience.
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
BLS through the American Heart Association; with card in-hand before start date.

Responsibilities

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care related to infusion services based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
