About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to lead staff education and training for a skilled nursing facility in the [City/Region] area. This role focuses on developing ongoing in-service programs, supporting clinical competencies, and helping maintain survey readiness across the building.

Requirements

  • Active RN license in New York
  • Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in staff education, QA, infection control, or leadership is a plus
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Comfortable presenting to groups and coaching individuals
  • Full-time, onsite

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and deliver required in-service trainings for clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Support new hire orientation and onboarding
  • Maintain training logs, sign-ins, and personnel records for audit and survey use
  • Assist with competency evaluations for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
  • Partner with nursing leadership to identify education needs and performance improvement opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal training requirements
  • Promote a positive learning environment focused on resident safety and quality care
