About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Baptist Health Floyd, working on a PRN (Work as Needed) basis with varying shifts. The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed adult medical ICU providing specialized care for a variety of critically ill patients, including those with stroke, sepsis, shock states with or without multi-organ failure, and respiratory failure. New graduate RNs are welcome to apply for general RN roles, though the PRN position specifically requires a minimum of one year of nursing experience.

Requirements

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required
• ACLS Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire)
• NIHSS Stroke Certification required (Obtained within 10 weeks of hire)
• Minimum of one (1) year of previous nursing experience required to hold a PRN position
