Where You’ll Work The Hemodialysis unit has one treatment room where they can provide simultaneous treatment to two patients. If patient's are critically ill or in isolation, their hemodialysis may be done at their bedside on the unit they have been admitted to. Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Hemodialysis Nurse at St. Francis Medical Center, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health, you are responsible for hemodialysis therapies in both acute and chronic renal failure as prescribed by the Nephrologist and in accordance with CHI Health policies and procedures. Deliver dialysis therapy to all types of patients, including those in complex situations and/or complications of treatment Responsible to evaluate, delegate and coordinate nursing care Providing care/service to critically ill patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
