Key Position Details: Additional Job Information: Casual (0.0 FTE) position Variable shift lengths, day/evening/night shifts On-call weekends IAFN 40-hour Adult and Adolescent Didactic Course completion required (Completed within the past five years) IAFN 16-hour Skills Lab completion required (Completed within the past five years) Reliable transportation required with the ability to respond to a designated line of hospitals within one hour from home Strong critical thinking and assessment skills Ability to work independently and autonomously On-Call & Scheduling Requirements: Must be available for on-call hours during days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Required to work one 8-hour holiday shift per year Required to take 56 hours of on-call per month for the first three years Expected to attend 80% of staff meetings and one yearly mandatory skills day Encouraged to have flexible scheduling hours to meet the programs needs Position responds to the following hospitals within one hour: Mercy Hospital- Coon Rapids, MN Mercy Hospital-Unity Campus-Fridley, MN Cambridge Medical Canter-Cambridge, MN Buffalo Hospital-Buffalo, MN Abbott Northwestern- West Health- Plymouth, MN Abbott Northwestern- Minneapolis, MN United Hospital- St. Paul, MN United Hospital-Regina Campus- Hastings, MN St. Francis Regional Medical Center-Shakopee, MN Two-Twelve Medical Center- Chaska, MN Ridgeview Medical Center- Waconia, MN Job Description: Nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human response to actual or potential health problems. This includes establishing an intentional therapeutic relationship between a registered nurse and a patient and family. As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating and evaluating the patient’s care needs. Provides specialized care for patients experiencing acute and long-term health consequences associated with victimization or violence. Provides consultation and testimony for civil and criminal proceedings.
