About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team in Salem, VA. As part of our healthcare facility, you'll be providing care to patients in urgent need, managing a wide range of conditions from minor injuries to critically ill patients. Why Join Us? Requirements

Education: Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred or current enrollment in a BSN program.
Licensure: Current RN license in Virginia or multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in Virginia.
Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider required.
Experience: At least 1 year of ER experience in an acute care setting preferred, but Med/Surg nurses interested in cross-training for night shifts will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages in the Emergency Room.
Manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritizing care based on patient acuity.
Provide high-quality nursing care, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
Collaborate with physicians, departments, and families to coordinate care and referrals.
Document patient care and nursing interventions effectively and in a timely manner.
Maintain composure in high-pressure situations, acting professionally under stress.
