About The Position

RN Emergency room. Must be able to float between units and work weekends. Preference given to candidates available for a full schedule through the end of January and the first week of February. Day shift/night 12-hour shifts. Minimum compliance requirements must be met prior to starting; full compliance profile must be completed within two weeks after the start date. Position is Per Diem for 26 weeks.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of emergency medicine
• Active RN license
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional multitasking and time-management skills
• Ability to work closely with a team and patients
• Willingness to continually learn the latest advancements in emergency medicine
• Ability to place intravenous lines, set bones and perform other emergency medical tasks quickly and efficiently
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• ADN or BSN in Nursing.
• Passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN).
• Active state license as a registered nurse.
• Current BLS/CPR and ACLS certification.
• CEN certification.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
