Seconds count in an emergency, and the Emergency Department (ED) at Weston Hospital is equipped with the multi-disciplinary services and leading-edge technology necessary to treat patients during a crisis. As an RN, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working evenings/nights between 11:00AM - 11:30PM.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon new hire period
  • One year of current acute care RN and/or Emergency Department experience OR licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
