About The Position

This is a Full time 12 Hour Night Shift at Scripps System Wide Float Pool. Travel to 4 hospital sites and possibly 3 urgent cares required. This position is eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $7K . Our Scripps System-wide Resource Services (SSRS) department supports the entire Scripps Health system. As a member of the float team, you can fill vital roles on assignments throughout the system to provide critical coverage for employee’s leave of absences, sick calls, and peak Service demands while gaining experience in a variety of environments. Responsibilities include: · Providing direct patient care within the scope of practice. · Patient care encompasses assessment, planning, implementation of a care plan, and evaluation of patients' progress toward expected outcomes. · With quality, patient- and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the care provided to patients by the Care Team under their supervision. · Collaborate with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. Float Pool: RNs self-schedule in 4-week blocks to meet shift and weekend requirements. This position covers all 5 campus sites and 3 urgent cares Full Time Position - 3 shifts a week, to include at least 1 weekend or 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule Travel Requirements\: Work between the four (4) Scripps Health hospital campuses\: Encinitas, La Jolla, San Diego, and Chula Vista and 3 urgent cares. Requirements

  • Registered Nursing Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Active California RN license
  • American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS Healthcare Provider Certifications
  • 18 months of recent adult emergency services experience
  • Be able to speak, read and following instructions in English
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate positive behaviors

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • CEN – Certified Emergency Nursing
