About The Position

Position Summary:
The Nurse Director has 24/7 leadership responsibility for all clinical, staffing, quality, and financial management for the ICU/CCU/SDU. Ensures an effective patient care delivery system that is compliant and consistent with standards of practice. Implements strategies, processes, and standards to ensure operations support the key organizational and departmental initiatives such as quality of care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction. Promotes collegial relationships between the unit and other departments or disciplines across the Medical Center.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science, Nursing
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Minimum of one year of recent Nurse Manager experience in an ICU
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Prior management experience in an acute care setting
• Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commission Requirements
• Minimum of three years' recent experience in an ICU setting
• Basic Life Support
• Registered Nurse
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Nice To Haves

• CCRN Certification
