About The Position

Plans, implements, and evaluates Diabetes Services program. Maintains current knowledge of diabetes and CDE certification. Provides education to diabetic inpatients and outpatients. Provides staff education related to diabetes. Teaches clearly and effectively. Maintains program's ADA recognition status, if applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Current CA Licensure as RN
  • BLS required
  • Certified Diabetes Educator strongly preferred. (Must obtain in a reasonable timeframe after hire if applicant not currently a DCE)
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an RN
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • Experience in program management in health related field
  • Experience in care of people with diabetes
  • Possesses basic computer skills
  • Clear, professional, personable communication

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
