Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Coordinator. In the role of RN Clinical Coordinator you will: Actively support department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit including shift charge, department and/or service line. Ensure that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards. Act as liaison between physicians and patient care team. Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Supervise the staff; authorize work procedures and assign duties. Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates. Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Personally, accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. One year RN experience in operating room required Previous leadership/ charge experience highly preferred Day to Day:- This will cover Neuro and Trauma service lines Maintain the day-to-day efficiencies of the service line Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs/ practices for department associates. Act as leadership within the department Act as liaison between surgeons and staff Assist with training staff and evaluating competency Oversee supplies and instruments necessary for service line Create and update preference cards Assist with staffing Will also be used on occasion to help out in the rest of the OR 17 OR Suites including 1 trauma room, a hybrid Room, Designated CVOR and a Cystoscopy Suite-450-500+/ month Schedule: 40hrs/wk-Variable shifts per surgical volume and current unit needs. Call required approx. 4 call shifts in 6 week schedule block. Typically, no weekend call unless covering team members PTO. 30Min Callback radius Required. This position will also be eligible for the Clinical Ladder

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing (Nursing Diploma or by endorsement) required
  • RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
  • 30Min Callback radius Required.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN, preferred
  • Nursing Specialty Certification, preferred
  • Previous leadership/ charge experience highly preferred
