About The Position

Looking for a FT RN Charge Nurse for Monday-Friday Day shift! Haverhill Pavilion Behavioral Health Hospital provides superior mental health services via a 50-bed adult inpatient program and a 21-bed geriatric inpatrient program. We are located in Haverhill, MA. We are looking for a Charge Nurse to join our outstanding nursing team at Haverhill Pavilion Behavioral Health Hospital. We are a leading New England behavioral health facility that provides comprehensive mental health services for adults over the age of 19 in the Haverhill, MA, area. At Haverhill Pavilion, we provide patient-focused, interdisciplinary behavioral healthcare, including a specialized geriatric unit for adults over the age of 50. Requirements

BSN preferred.
Current registered nursing license in State of facility required
One year experience as a registered nurse preferred
6 months of experience as a registered nurse required
One or more years experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment (inpatient or outpatient) preferred.
Some experience as a change RN preferred.
Current RN license within the state where facility is providing service.
CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

Oversee a unit or work group for a specified shift.
Provide direct care for patients as well as monitor and coordinate other nurses and members of the staff on the daily medical or behavioral health care activities of the unit.
Schedule staff to ensure full coverage at all times and to ensure effective application of services.
Lead, guide and train employees performing work.
Oversee and provide direct nursing evaluation, consultation and other related care to patients as required.
Coordinate services and maintain communication with other departments or staff as required.
Oversee quality assurance activities and compliance to operational standards, participate in program development, development or implementation of operating policy and procedure and promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices as requested.
Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, case managers, coworkers and others in an effective manner.
Complete and maintain required documentation.
